RESURRECTION

HE IS RISEN....ALLELUIA. Mary Magdalene followed Jesus to the cross, and it was to her that Jesus appeared first. she loved Jesus a lot, she belived in him, and she let Jesus transform her life through perfect love.

The more we open our hearts to christ the more christ abides in us. when christ lives in us we can give unconditonal love to others.

It is from our sufferings and sorrows that we can really meet Christ. we are Easter people, death is not the last word for the christian but life everlasting and in abundance.

Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them. Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

prayer: Dear heavenly father, help our unbelieve. In the above scriptural reading we read that you lord worked with the apostles and confirmed word with signs. you never change lord as you are the alpha and the omega, the begining and the end. you are working with us today just the same, with the plan of salvation for many souls that you entrusted to your mother and our mother. many messages and signs are taken place in malta, with the help of our lady of borg-in-nadur. open each person's eyes so that one will realize the importance of these , so that we will have the culture of life, and not of death.........help each person to be strong and say no to abortion and yes to life. no to divorce and yes to a lifelong marriage. This I prayed in Jesus' name Amen

ON CALVARY.......

I asked myself yesterday being good Friday, what kind of person I want to be on Calvary? the answer was that I can either be a spectator or participator. participation is ideal but in what?, the Romans also participated but in hurting and hitting Jesus constantly. the christian must participate with the suffering of Christ in order to heal the world and himself form the gravest epidemic there is in our society....egoism, this leads to sin and sin separates us from God and from each other. Christ is the ultimate model of love, there were three other persons on Calvary that one can reflect on: his mother Mary that represents innocence, the blessed among women as with her obedience she cooperated with the plan of salvation. the teachings of her son (god) were becoming more and more alive in her, a living example for us in our suffering, c f the beatitudes in the Gospel of st Matthew (5:3-10).

another person was john, john represents the priests, therefore the church. 'woman .behold your son' the church is made of human beings thus subject to sin, Mother Mary the immaculate conception still accepted to be the mother of the church and our mother. when we suffer we are never in isolation we suffer with, through, and in CHRIST and his mother. how beautiful it is to offer for one another! yes since we the church are all subject to sin, (including the clergy yes) we need to love the church in spite of mistakes and sins, loving the church is to love Christ. this leads us to another person on Calvary, Mary Magdalene, somehow we can all associated ourselves with, as we are all penitent sinners. But Jesus did not condemn Mary Magdalene or any other sinner he Loved them in spite of......he died for you and me and the world. if only (me first) we can understand the beauty of offering our suffering for the conversion of souls surly our world will become a better place, will reflect the love that bonds the communion of persons in the trinity.

prayer : Dear mother Mary, help me, open my eyes, so that I come to know Christ more and more through my suffering, it is in this shaking off our pride and self love that we can come to see and know Christ, like the disciples of emmaws they recognised Christ in the breaking of the bread. thank you for your love and for giving your son Jesus.

LENT: A TIME FOR RIFLECTION

The Bible is a treasure to meditate upon, it is our manual for us christians on how to trust, love and live for God.As we Cannot breath without air, so does our soul it cannot live without the word of God and Christ himself. The three main fonts of our spiritual survival are, the Eucharist, reading the word and prayer. The voice of the Lord is so soft and loving that it is so easy to be hindered by our own frail poor humanity. If we say that we know 100% every minute of every day what God is saying, then we are risking of entering into a dangerous and suttle realm, that of knowing all....pride and arrogance. This lent, let us first look upon the crucified Christ and reflect on our salvation, the death of Jesus was our salvation. we too need to die for ourselves in humility, as no servant is greater then his master, therefore we need to clothe ourselves in Jesus Christ. This is made possible by receiving him daily in the Eucharist, stay in silence.....we need to stop and listen, then we need to meditate on his word. Jesus Christ is the word made flesh, and whoever has seen him has seen the father, no one can go to the father except through Christ. This Lent God is talking to us by means of the poor, of the homeless, the refugees and the sick. God Is ready to reach this people through you, let us be the ones who can show and share the language of God...that is of love. Love is the medicine of God.

This remind me on St Paul's first letter to the Corinthians chap 13

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. 13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
